IPL™ skin treatments using Photorejuvenation is one of the most popular cosmetic treatments being performed today. IPL™ is a unique treatment for rosacea, flushing skin, sun damaged skin and photoaging that typically occurs around the face, neck chest and extremities. The distinguishing feature of using IPL™ for skin rejuvenation is that there is no downtime for the patient – no one but you and the patient will know they just had a procedure.
Kim has worked with the physicians, Dr. Patrick Bitter Sr., and Dr. Patrick Bitter, Jr., who developed and first introduced this non-invasive method to rejuvenate and improve skin with no downtime. Specific settings are selected for each treatment to maximize improvement. A series of five or more treatments are performed at 3-4 week intervals.

Sclerotherapy is used to treat unwanted spider and varicose veins. The procedure consists of injecting a small amount of sclerosing agent into the blood vessel using a very fine needle. This procedure has been used for spider veins since the 1930s and before that for larger veins. The solution irritates the lining of the vessel, causing it to swell, stick together and the blood to thicken. Over a period of weeks, the vessel turns to scar tissue that is absorbed, eventually becoming barely noticeable or invisible. Multiple treatments may be needed several weeks apart, depending on the size of the blood vessel.

The Botox® Training Course will focus on a brief history and background of the uses of Botulinum Toxin A, the mechanism of action, anatomy and physiology of the face, areas commonly treated for cosmetic purposes, safety and efficacy and proper injection technique.

Soft tissue fillers are flexible substances that can be injected into the skin to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, plump lips, fill out hollow cheeks, improve scars, elevate deep folds, and repair various facial imperfections. The result is a smoother, more youthful appearance with minimal downtime and maximum safety.
A number of filler substances have been developed to address a wide range of cosmetic flaws. Each filler brings subtle, distinctive benefits. Soft tissue fillers are often considered a first line against aging skin and are frequently used in combination with other techniques for facial rejuvenation.
Aesthetic Consulting offers two training courses for soft tissue fillers:
The Collagen Training Course will focus on what is Collagen, developing a patient consultation and medical information. Emphasis will be on establishing patient expectations, the Collagen test implant, contraindications, warnings, precautions, and understanding potential patient risks. You will learn about the different types of injectable Collagen, indications for use, hands-on treatment sessions and proper injection technique.
The Restylane Training Course will cover the same topics, with the exception of testing a patient prior to use. As Restylane is not made of animal or human origin, no skin testing prior to its use is needed. Patients may have Restylane treatments immediately. Both training courses will include:
